AIFF Award Winner:
Best First Feature

Time is the enemy in this behind the scenes documentary adventure in no-budget filmmaking. Jump into the action with actors Britt Harris and Molly Elizabeth Parker as they trek to Brazil for the making of Ale Paschoalini's feature film, Raízes. Will artistic vision prevail as the skeleton crew battles the elements in this high pressure race against the clock?

Director's Statement

The first time I stepped onto a film set as an actor I was overcome with wonder and excitement. Finally, the curtain was pulled back and I got to stand in the center of the magic. Jump the Fence communicates the delights and demands of that experience by letting viewers in on the magic and drama behind the scenes of independent filmmaking on a shoestring budget. This exciting documentary expresses a sentiment we hold close to our hearts as artists without financial backing: Don’t wait for permission. Don’t let obstacles shut you down. Be bold. Trust your instincts. Trust each other. JUMP THE FENCE!
